Biblical Families is not a dating website. It is a forum to discuss issues relating to marriage and the Bible, and to offer guidance and support, not to find a wife. Click here for more information.
Mojo, I feel like there’s a breakdown of communication here. No on at retreats are committing sexual immorality or eating blood or things strangled or things offered to idols. So what objection could I have?
An early 'pioneer' in open polygyny, and 'deliverance minister' that some here would remember once told me that, among denominations, he had more Baptist preachers call and ask about polygyny than any other.
And YET, they were still all afraid...
Hah! I was a non-denominational pastor for years until I discovered the Baptists believed exactly what I believed. From that point on, I just started calling myself a Baptist. And you know what? People then understood where I stood...
I agree. Comparing translations is very helpful and so is using linguistic and exegetical resources to gain a deeper understanding of a word, verse, or larger passage and how then translators may have arrived at a particular point. Every...
E.N. Jencks??? I always heard that James Campbell was a pseudonym. I just never knew what the actual name of the real author was! It's kindof like Glenn Braunstein went under the pseudonym of Maurice Nelson for his first book.

One more time…for the hard of seeing…this isn’t a public site.
We are all free to leave, but not all free to stay.
The whining and complaining is now beyond annoying. Don Lemon would be proud.
The main rule is that there is a site owner, site moderators and site administrators.
You and I are none of the above.
They can modify or suspend any rules and we have to accept them or feel happy to leave. Private sites can operate as they...
I was trying to be delicate and diplomatic. You answered the question in your post. I just modified it a bit for you.
It is annoying and unnecessary. It’s the heckler’s veto used against people who are supposed to be brethren.
Even if I agree...
Thanks @Mojo, but the doesn't answer the "why" question. I know what the site owners have determined, the right of moderators to police that, the desire to stick with the mission, etc.. But I cannot see why it is fundamentally impossible for some...
It’s not necessary to violate the rules. Signing up to be a part of this site implies a recognition that one posts at the good will and pleasure of the owners.
The owners have stated that the Apostles Creed is the most basic statement of faith...
Would someone please explain why it is fundamentally necessary to violate the rules of this site? The owners have set the rules, so they get to police those rules. That seems simple to me, so why is it such an issue here on this site?
