One more time…this isn’t a public site.

We are all free to leave, but not all free to stay.

The drama is getting old and tired and only serves to dissuade others from participating. If that’s the purpose, it’s working like a charm.

Bro.... This is not true... In fact, there has been a lot less DRAMA in the last 3 months than there were before. The conversations are more in line with what has been presented as allowable conversations. There are those that jump into them and try to disrupt otherwise pleasant conversations with acrimony to achieve their desire of getting certain people banned.
It is unfortunate but there are some here that are constantly bringing it up in the hopes that certain people will be banned.

And it appears that the constant complaining is feeding the energy of an over eager-deleter or that is what is being alleged anyway...

The whining and complaining is now beyond annoying. Don Lemon would be proud.

Posts are posted. Your friendly neighborhood censor is just bored with the juvenile attempt by a poorly organized cabal of extreme intellectual sophists to constantly push the rules for no other reason that they don’t think rules should apply to them.

At first it was fun trying to figure out what technically fit the rules and what was over the line but it has become increasingly obvious that there is no living with some people and that Paul was indeed divinely inspired in Titus 3:10-11 when he told us to reject men causing division because “such a man is perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned.”

The delete button has become my favorite tool and it will continue to be until it is replaced by the tool that applies points for each infraction that can add up to a temporary or even permanent ban. It’s a VERY interesting tool.
Perhaps posts about censorship ought to be deleted as well.

My original and related posts are not a SALVATION issue as some would imply and directly state. The idea that we can talk about EVERYTHING yet not talk about the practicality of Gods Word in the dietary teachings is telling regarding the foundation of Christianity. Most everyone in Christendom will acknowledge the pivotal role the Old Testament plays in a New Testament life, if not for comparison then for contrast. (All the characters in the NT early days had a life's paradigm built on the OLD TESTAMENT.) For instance, the NT speaks of love but the OT Proverbs speaks of the fool. Moderators will embrace the practicality of sage wisdom gleaned from an old man's observant spirit yet eschew the scriptures that offend their bacon loving appetites. It is well known that before modern sanitary practices, the porcine condition was that of worm and microbe infested meat which, lead to consumption and like condition in human populace. The promise was that IF we followed the teachings, we would not have the same diseases as the rest of society. Like I maintain, it is not a salvation issue, but rather a HEALTH issue. There was a book published in early 70's called None of these Diseases that had an impact in my early theological studies yet I didnt count that advice as a salvation or rules issue. A single perusal of Facebook's postings will showcase intestinal and gut WORMS maladies and fixes! Sheesh! Where did THOSE come from? The old sage might say, "I told you so!" complete with a SMH(shakes my head) snicker and a "FAFO" sort of retort. We might think of ourselves as immune from the old world diseases only to be surprised.

And I mis-spoke above, addressing this post as if it was the reason for this thread. It is (IMHO) not. There has lately been "delete button" action on posts and entire threads that do NOT "violate the rules of this site." AND no explanation, not even a lame claim that they somehow did.

Just the whim of the Mr. Delete Button.

And that is a problem, in any environment.

PS> Did you know that there used to be a message that was sent when posts were deleted, with an explanation?
There still is a message that gets sent. I’ve just quit sending it. I have to delete multiple posts a week and it’s always for the same reason so it’s pointless and just extra headache for me.

If the delete is defendable, a message to the poster would help re-orient posts so that they don't need deleting in the first place.
So it seems as if the idea of a message to the poster to help explain the delete to help with the flow of the forum is logical even to the creators of this site. It is just a feature that is not being used....

It appears that I just had a new post of mine deleted. I asked for clarification on a rule. That post is not showing in the forum or on my profile history. It is within the power of the deleter to delete but it is to the detriment of the forum if it is done without explanation.

Dumpster fire is raging!

It's a simple rule. Just stop trying to find ways around it!

Why can you not see it? It's not "finding ways around it" to try and discuss things that NEED to be discussed, because they ARE in Scripture, and they are intimately related!

Ask an astronomer to discuss the motion of stars, but then forbid discussion of physics, or the shape of the earth.
