Not closing the Straits: Flaw or feature?

That is an interesting perspective that I would not have known they had. I see the point though, to be able to laugh together over the past is a true sign of acceptance and camaraderie.

Taiwan is also not in danger because if Chicoms laid a hand on it, US could easily cripple that operation by squeezing all the Iranian oil out of circulation. It’s like laying a trap in chess. There are going to be moves China can make, but they’re increasingly fraught with tremendous consequences.

From what I have read, the military has been trained to work in smaller groups and make their own decisions when upper command is cut off.
So a decision to do this when oversight is missing seems likely.

How can you call yourself the nation of Israel - if you consider the birth of your nation to be a criminal enterprise? Have you heard of Llyods? They provide maritime insurance. This is protection racket. Consider Russian shadow fleet. No insurance at Llyods means free seizure by NATO states.
