No, it is desperation and folly on Trump's part. This is the rant of a man whose world is spinning out of control.
He is impotent. His war is going poorly, and He cannot open the straight of Hormuz.
He can harm the Iranian people by destroying their power grid. The Iranian regime can do the same to our Gulf allies and Israel. Both sides can rain death and destruction, but neither side can likely win.
The vice president and cabinet need to start seriously considering section four of the 25th amendment.

ummm the 25th? No. He is firmly in control of his faculties and he is the best negotiator we have ever had in the white house! His "ranting" is the bluster of a mad man so that the other side will be convinced that he is mad and willing to do anything and everything.
The fact that you bought into the "madman" concept just proves how effective he is at convincing people that he is willing to do anything.
The MAD man or MAD woman concept is what causes so many normal people to cave into what the other person wants. They can't conceive of a way to negotiate with them so they give them what they want. Trump knows exactly what he is doing in these negotiations. He is still doing a very good job!

The rescue of the downed F15 crew was very impressive. I'm so thankful for his sake.
I am reading reports that the 2 C-130s and several helicopters that were lost may have really part of a failed special forces attempt to retrieve the Iranian's enriched uranium (apparently located nearby the downed service member), and not really related to his rescue.
That makes more sense.

Madman theory is a well established tactic. Trump is a student of Nixon. Many of his earliest advisors all came from the Nixon camp. Nixon subscribed to the madman theory. It obviously works (TDS).

And what if the downed airmen was all a ruse to perform other secret tasks? Perhaps we do have air superiority, but we relinquish it from time to time to accomplish other things?

I get it. It’s okay to gloat about the bombing of women and children. Against a country that posed no threat to the United States. I can’t imagine if the tables were turned - and the children in the USA were bombed in an un-provoked attack.
Trump is all over the Epstein files. He’s part of the swamp, and he’s doing the will of the adversary. He has already turned against his voters. He mocks the farmers that voted for him. Many of them lost their farms because of the tariffs from last year. Then he mocked them:

So consumers and farmers paid higher prices last year for nothing. And this war in Iran pretty much destroyed the budget. “When all things fail they take you to war.” This is true for every currency collapse in past fallen civilizations. Social morale drops (sexual immorality and gloating about death of innocence), currency destruction, and then they take you to war. How many of you are going to fight the state of Israel’s and trump’s war in Iran? I’m sure his children won’t be fighting. A sacrifice for the synagogue of Satan.

In USA: Decency and Christianity was hijacked by that wicked man in the white house. Partiality is violation of Royal law. (America only, or Israel only, or Trump family only, does just that, it ignores harm being caused to the rest ). For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. But when Trump is doing, it is like getting testimony from a demon, hence Jesus Christ told demons to stop to testify of his identity as Son of God, Jesus was not in need of credibility from demons. It is better for Trump to stop dragging Christianity through the mud by his fake alliance.
